Make Your Own Leather Purse workshop with Jude Gove

Sunday 3rd May 5 - 8pm

Using soft leather and pure wool felt, Jude Gove will take you through all aspects of making your own coin + card purse. Choose from two different designs, pick your leather, cut out your design and stitch it all together using simple hand sewing techniques.

No experience needed. 

Join us to learn new skills, have a chat and a tasty sweet treat!

Photography

During the workshop, there may be photographs taken to use for social media or for future promotion of our events. If you do not want to be featured just let us know at the workshop. We'll ask everyone on the day to confirm and make sure you're not featured without your consent.

Access information:

The workshop area is wheelchair accessible. There are toilet facilities and these are located downstairs. Please contact hello@shopthismustbetheplace.co.uk if you have any access requirements or require more information.

Tutor:

Working from her home studio, Jude creates individually designed and handcrafted genuine leather and pure wool felt accessories. Each purse, clutch bag and wallet is cut and stitched by hand, with an emphasis on simple practical shapes, exquisite colour combinations and high-quality materials.

Using the landscape from both home and her travels as her colour palette, she sources genuine soft leather hides and pure wool felt in contrasting colours. Jude works entirely by hand – from making patterns, to cutting the leather and stitching each piece together. Her aim is to create simple and functional yet beautiful products, which will last a lifetime.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a workshop you have purchased a ticket for you may cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours before the event. If any cancellations are made with less than 24 hours we are unable to offer a refund.
