Japanese Stab Bookbinding with Concrete Nature Studio
Wednesday 29th October 6.00 - 7.30pm
Create your own junk journal using Japanese Stab Binding. During this 90 minute workshop you'll create your own junk journal using Japanese stab binding and a selection of colourful paper stocks, printed papers and vintage ephemera. All materials and tools will be provided, along with step by step instructions to help you along the way!
What is a junk journal? A junk journal is a handmade notebook made of different types of paper, as well as recycled materials like music sheets, envelopes, maps, or patterned papers. You are welcome to bring any materials you would like to include in your own journal on the day.

Tutor
This workshop will be run by Concrete Nature Studio (aka
Clementine Carriere). Concrete Nature’s workshops are crafted to inspire people, celebrate creativity, and nurture well-being. The workshops explore themes at the intersection of art, design and nature through paper-based and DIY techniques – including collage, bookbinding, printing and zine-making.
These immersive experiences foster creativity and well-being, empowering individuals to expand their creative practice with a focus on play and experimentation. The workshops are also an invitation to cultivate a deeper connection with the natural world and embrace sustainable practices.
